With the Raptors trailing the best-of-seven series 2-0 they return to Air Canada Centre tonight looking to pull a little closer to the Magic.

Ciao Bella… ok that is just about all the Italian I know, but it seems I might be ahead in the language department, at least that’s what it looked like when the girls stepped foot in Rome this week.

Seems like not only do these model wanabees need a translator, they might also need a Seeing Eye dog too. When Anya took one step onto the ancient cobble stone streets and as she said “ate it”… priceless…I felt like screaming into the TV “one foot in front of the other dumbass”. I guess there’s nothing like falling on your face in front of millions of people. As the girls took in the sights, I started to think how staged some of this looked. Did anyone notice the two Roman women who passed in their couture outfits and white and red pumps? Somehow I doubt this is exactly how the women in Rome dress on a regular…but whatever.

Finally the girls arrived back at their new home in Rome and when suddenly Fatima falls ill. Now I have no clue what exactly she was ill from, since she seemed fine before, but I love it when they get sick the cry about how they have come this far and don’t want to leave the competition… then get it together.

During this weeks challenge it was all about how the models looked like in some random designers clothes. Queue in Whitney with her “woe is me, I’m plus size crap”. I almost busted my gut when the designer told her all she could do was face modeling… wow that’s catty, MEEEOW. And I also agree with the designer, Dominique doesn’t look fresh, and then again, neither did he. The winner was of course Anya who won a red carpet gown that I’m pretty sure she will never wear but looked nice on the mannequin. And could someone please tell these girls to hide their hateration like maybe with a hand over their face. Yeah sure the girl just won $10, 000, and yeah she gets praised like mad from the judges, that should just be more motivation to step up your game… or quit.

There was no photo shoot but a cover commercial. Seeing as how none of these females had any training, I knew I was in for a treat. I was not disappointed when Lauren managed to mess up her lines (yeah ok they were in Italian) and look a hot trailer mess in front of the cameras. It was like watching an accident in progress and looking away was not an option. The others girls scrapped by but not by much, it wasn’t about who did great more like who sucked less.

At judging it was undeniable, even though it came to being between Lauren and “I’m plus size” Whitney, it clear as day that Lauren still can’t walk and is as awkward as hell in front of the TV cameras. I guess there is no place in Cover Girl for a punk trailer mess… sorry Lauren… I guess it’s back to the trailer park…but I do have some final advice for the poor girl…Lauren, try not to cut anymore limbs off…you’ll need them while your bagging groceries at the local Save-a-Lot…

Playoffs to Commence In Orlando Sunday

The Raptors will tip off the 2008 NBA playoffs in Orlando on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on TSN. Game two is set to go on Tuesday.

Can anyone say HOT MESS…I can and I’m sure anyone who watched this week’s episode can too?

As the girl came home after the eliminations, they shared their thought about their own potential in this competition. Then in comes the Plus size Whitney complaining how she has to try so hard because she is plus sized. I mean, ok Whitney, we get. Your not a size 2, sure you won’t get the same jobs the others might, this is the card you were dealt so deal with it. The girls speculated the possibility of traveling abroad, which usually comes this time in the competition. This is when Fatima decides to mention that she doesn’t even have the documents that she needs to leave the country. I mean did she not expect to win this competition. Ummm…

The girls received a visit from Paulina Porizskova, one of the judges, who was there to teach them how to give good press and not act like a fool in front of important people. They all failed. I mean you would think that neither of them has ever spoken to members of the general public by the way they acted.

After there lesson, Fatima gets in touch with the producers to see what she can do to expedite these travel documents. What did she think that immigration will just watch the show and send her what she needs to be able to leave the country? Honestly at that point I could not feel sorry for this girl. Get it together Africa! (Hot mess 1) As Fatima was on the phone getting her life together, the butch aka Lauren was in the kitchen cutting off the tip of her beefy thumb (Hot mess 2)

For this weeks challenge the girls put on Jay Godfrey designs and attended a party for 7up (Shameless product placement). It was ironic how natural some of these girls were at being fake. I think Stacey Anne repeated the she was from Miami and a student like 12 times, Whitney of course talked about how she was a size 12 and likes to eat and Dominique couldn’t get the designer’s name right. (Hot mess 3, 4 &5) All in all, Anaya was the winner. Not only did she win a photo shoot for 7up, she ever got paid $10,000. You go girl!

I thought it was funny how easy it was for Fatima to get an appointment to get her documents and then they get told to pack because they are going to fly abroad. Something smells like a set up. Then the next day the shoot ended at 3 pm…really? So she was able to get her documents but she misses the shoot. Again this seems more and more like a set up. In the eliminations the judges gave her no mercy and evaluated Fatima with no photo. Sending her to the final two, Fatima and Stacey Anne… but it was Fatima’s previous shots that saved her in the end. Too bad Stacey… like Tyra said… learn your angles… or whatever that’s supposed to mean….

Watch out… it’s about to be a girl fight… ok well maybe not. It’s not like any of these Top Model wanabees are going to take it to the streets. Calling each other bitches and throwing the F-bombs is as far as it can go. Lauren followed the Top Model blasting formula to the tee when she blasted Fatima after dumping Fatima’s coffee in the sink. That’s right, this psycho and lost her mind when Fatima wanted an apology. I mean come on ladies no reason crying over spilled milk… or in this case spilled coffee

For this weeks challenge the girls went on Go-sees… I guess this is a perfect time for some shameless product placement and designer plug in. Queue Sprint cell phone, now Pamela Rolland and Shoshanna Grus clothing line, it was almost comical but what made it all better was watching some of theses girls get there ego taken down a notch. First was Whitney when she found out that sometimes big girls can’t get no love, then Lauren when the designer described her walk as “horse walking”. Somehow under all this cattiness Stacey and her team of Claire, Whitney and Dominique won a photo shoot with 17 Magazine.

At the photo shoot’s theme was movement. I hope that some of these models have insurance because Tyra had the girls pose in an inch of water suspended up high resting on saran wrap. Besides being potentially dangerous, it was nice to see some of the models take on the challenge head on… literally. Especially Claire who took a dive head first onto the plastic; I think I saw her head bounce.

At judging the claws came out. I think I’m going to start watching the show just to get some good material to use on the streets. I mean you can’t get any better than “weird European tackiness” or “full figured fetus”. Aside from all the dissing that went on there was some business to conduct, and Claire and Lauren were in the bottom two. Unfortunately for Claire, she fell a little show and was sent packing… Sorry gal... I guess it’s back to breast feeding and dirty diapers for you.
